429 Bottles of Liquor Seized in East Jakarta

Four-hundred-and-twenty-nine bottles of liquor were confiscated in the operation held from Monday (12/9) to Tuesday (12/10) at dawn in East Jakarta.

It aims to create a sense of security and comfort for Jakarta residents

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budhy Novian said the operation was conducted to tighten security ahead of Christmas and New Year. It involved 570 joint personnel from Satpol PP, army (TNI)/police, Social Sub-agency, Tourism Sub-agency, and other related units.

"It aims to create a sense of security and comfort for Jakarta residents. We will intensify this operation until New Year's Eve," he expressed, Wednesday (12/11)

Satpol PP Seizes 168 Liquor Bottles in Pademangan

Of 429 bottles, 17 were confiscated from Matraman, 23 were from Pulogadung, 60 were from Jatinegara, 58 were from Kramat Jati, 72 were from Pasar Rebo, 45 were from Cakung, 27 were from Duren Sawit, two were from Ciracas, 57 were from Makasar, and 68 were from Cipayung.

While, types of drinks confiscated were red wine, ginseng wine, essence, Anker beer, Guinness Stout, etc.

He added those were brought to his office while waiting for approval of the confiscation by the East Jakarta District Court.

"Of course, we'll destroy them," he stressed.
